Feb-13-07  notyetagm: This game is a -great- example of the priority of king safety in a major piece ending. Black's extra passed d-pawn was absolutely meaningless once White's heavy pieces began to infiltrate the Black side of the board.
Feb-13-07  notyetagm: 58 ♕c8! wins the game with a lovely <CROSS PIN> on the Black d7-rook.

The White c7-rook <PINS> the Black d7-rook along the 7th rank to the Black g7-king while the White c8-queen <PINS> the Black d7-rook along the c8-h3 diagonal to the <UNDEFENDED> Black e6-queen.

Black resigns in the final position since he cannot save his d7-rook which is both <PINNED> and <EN PRISE>:

58 ... ♖e7 <rubberband> 59 ♕x♕e6! <pin> ♖x♖c7 60 ♕e5+ <fork> and 61 ♕x♖c7
