Phony Benoni: After going through the game, I think it's obvious why Campbell chose the profession that made him famous. His king spent most of his time in the soup.
Feb-02-08  wolfmaster: Campbell's soup is better than his game.

  tpstar: 4 ... Be6!? was suboptimal, yet 6 ... Kd7!? & 7 ... Kc8 was inspired (6 ... g6 7. Qb5+ wins the Pb7). After 8. Bc4 Black couldn't try 8 ... Qd7?! due to 9. Qb3 d5 10. ed ed 11. Bxd5 winning a Pawn while threatening 12. Be6, thus 8 ... Qe7 with a cute Discovered Check trick. But Black should have taken the opportunity to trade Queens with 11 ... Qb4+ entering a level middlegame. 17 ... Qxf2?! was a trap, losing 2 pieces for a Rook after 18. Rhf1 Qxg2 19. Rxf8+! Rxf8 20. Qxc5; 17 ... Bd6 & 18 ... Kc7 would improve and Black plays on for a long time. The Mate in Four sequence with QN vs K was very nice.
