Troll = cheater.
Say: "I support the use of Winboard, DGT, etc. You cannot take these things away from me." Interpretation: "I am a stone-cold cheater. It is my right to use an engine during an Internet game and no one is going to take that away from me." Honest people have abandoned sites like ICC and Play-Chess in droves. If ANYONE built a really honest server, then many of the people who had abandoned on-line chess ... would probably come back. Just like the move, "Field of Dreams."

Or if you want to do it for free then use Yahoo chess or some other free site. The ICC can filter out a computer program, right? No worry about someone using Fritz or Rybka. I guess there is still some dependance on chess players being honest, the honor system. Is that possible, these days? Talk is cheap. |
