Mar-20-07  ToTheDeath: This is an amazing game. Wonderful positional sacrifice with 16. Rxd4.
Jul-07-08  ToTheDeath: "Don’t miss the out of this world game Ganbold-Banikas (number 20) from the Istanbul Olympiad. Previous to reading this book, I knew Odondoo Ganbold, a Mongolian IM now living in Oakland, from his participation in the Mechanics’ Institute Chess Club’s (San Francisco) Tuesday Night Marathon, but this game made me appreciate his creative style even more."

-Jeremy Silman, reviewing Test Your Chess with Daniel King

Jun-14-09  ToTheDeath: Amazingly, 20...Ra7! appears to be the only defense- Black is in bad shape despite his rook surplus. Fantastic attacking game.
Apr-20-15  ToTheDeath: Anyone who glosses over this game is a loser.

GrahamClayton: Ganbold's bishop on d6 is a strong piece, but it alone cannot mate Banikas' king, hence 20. f4 and 21. Bh5 opening lines and throwing more pieces into the attack.
