Oct-17-23  King.Arthur.Brazil: Since I hadn't find any winning sac, 16. Ne4 Qb6 (Qc6?? 17. Nf6+ win the ♕)17. Bf6 and B has little chances: A) 17... Bxf6 18. Nxf6+ Kg7 19. Qxh7#
B) 17... Bf5 18. Rxf5 Nxf5 19. Qxf5 Rfc8 20. Qg5 Kf8 21. Qxg7+ Ke8 22. Bh3 and mate next. C) 17... Nf5 18. Rxf5 Bxf5 19. Qxf5 c4+ 20. Kh1 Qxb2 21. Rg1... with ll threats imaginable. But B could try: . 16... Qg6 17. Qh4 f5!

For this reason, W has to forward the move: 16. Bf6 ! Since, 16. Bf6 Bxf6 17. Ne4 Qe6 18. Nxf6+! (Kg7 or Kh8, 19. Qxh7#) Qxf6 19. Rxf6 wnning our enemy's beloved ♕ Good!

It could follow: Bf5 20. Bxb7 Rab8 21. Bd5 Bg6 22. Rxg6+ hxg6 23. Qxg6+ Kh8 24. Bxf7 Rb6 25. Qh5+ Kg7 26. Rf1...

Oct-17-23  sfm: For those already knowing
Fischer vs Benko, 1963 this should be an easy one.
Oct-17-23  King.Arthur.Brazil: <Mel Gibson> Can you see what 'fishouse' tells about 16.Bf6!?
Oct-17-23  mel gibson: <Oct-17-23 King.Arthur.Brazil: <Mel Gibson> Can you see what 'fishouse' tells about 16.Bf6!?>

It's about the same strength:

16. Bf6

(16. Bf6 Qe6 (Qd6-e6 Nc3-d5 Qe6-g4 Qh5xe5 Nd4-c6 Qe5-d6 Bc8-e6 Kg1-h1 Ra8-d8 Bf6xd8 Rf8xd8 Qd6-f4 Qg4xf4 Nd5xf4 Be6-c8 Bg2-h3 Bc8xh3 Nf4xh3 h7-h6 Rf1-f5 b7-) -3.67/42 128)

Breunor: Ahh I tried Nd5 but after f5 there is no advantage.
Oct-18-23  syracrophy: Stockfish gave a study-like line after 16...♕d7 17. h3 ♗xf6 18. ♗xf6 ♕f5 19. ♘d5!!

When playing <spectacular> is the only way! Followed by the quiet 20.♕h4! is "quietus" as Fischer would say (see <sfm>'s reference>

Oct-18-23  syracrophy: The ♖f6!! blow called for a pun in reference to it's predecessor Fischer vs Benko, 1963 : I tried "The Rook of King James II" (did "Tower" sound better?). Hope it makes sense :-)
