Jun-15-07  RookFile: There is an odd feeling, in playing over this game, that the Reshevsky of the 1930's or so would be the one playing the black pieces in this game. Rogoff was similar to Reshevsky in that he was a counter-puncher, and allowed the opponent to overextend himself, and then punished him appropriately.
Dec-31-13  jerseybob: RookFile: Exactly so. Reshevsky was pressing for a win due to his tournament standing, but chose the wrong customer to do it against.
Oct-30-14  Garech: Well that was a mad one.
