Fusilli: John Nunn's comment ("Secrets of Rook Endings") on 70.f6 is "here Benko made his first error of the ending by losing on time".

Nunn shows that the drawing move is 70...Ra8! while 70...Ra7+? loses to 71.Kf8!

Jul-29-14  Howard: According to the excellent/engrossing book Endgame Tactics, however, Benko mistakenly resigned in a drawn position.

It would be interesting to know how the game really ended, but we'll probably never know now.

Sep-16-15  Sally Simpson: Benko did not resign in a drawn Rook ending.

Miles himself - page 80 'It's Only Me' he shows where Benko could have drawn the game but Benko tried to 'Overdraw' and Lost On Time.
