Sep-24-07 | | you vs yourself: In the final position, how about Kg4 and Rc5 attacking the g-pawn? |

Sep-24-07 | | ahmadov: <you vs yourself: In the final position, how about Kg4 and Rc5 attacking the g-pawn?> Actually, I knew that I was winning, but I just accepted his draw offer not to disappoint him... After all, he spend a lot of energy on this game: this was his second blindfold game within one hour (and the second blindfold game in his life :) ). The first one he played against my brother and won... |

Sep-24-07 | | you vs yourself: That's very generous of you but you can't let a guy off the hook after he beats your brother:) |

Sep-24-07 | | ahmadov: <you vs yourself: That's very generous of you but you can't let a guy off the hook after he beats your brother:)> I think my brother was not worried about that loss because we were just impressed as for the first time in our life we saw someone playing blindfold... However, I understand that feeling of revenge for your brother... I beat a couple of people on gameknot.com only because they defeated my brother :) |

Sep-26-07 | | AbhinavAsthana: <ahmadov> I think it was a good thinking to use a less popular opening like 1.b4 as the opponent might not be ready (or experienced) for it when he plays Blindfold.
Do you play 1.b4 occassionally or was it for a surprise as I thought? |
|
Sep-26-07 | | ahmadov: Hello <AbhinavAsthana>! You are quite right. I almost never play 1.b4. I deliberately chose this opening to confuse him a bit... :) |

Oct-10-07 | | syracrophy: <ahmadov> Hey, man! What's up? Finally we can see the level of your strength on the page :-D But, I have a little doubt. Okay, I know how this blindfold business works, but, can you please explain it better? I'm not sure to have clear the whole idea |

Oct-11-07 | | ahmadov: <syracrophy: <ahmadov> Hey, man! What's up? Finally we can see the level of your strength on the page :-D> I am really not sure whether this game reflects my true strength. :) I just played this game under strong impression of experiencing blindfold chess... No matter how strange this sounds, but my aim was not to win him... |
|
Oct-11-07 | | ahmadov: <syracrophy><Okay, I know how this blindfold business works, but, can you please explain it better?> Everything was very simple... He sat his back to the chess board and called the moves by notation. I also let him know my moves by loudly pronouncing them... I can send a picture to your email address if you are interested... By the way, what was the most amazing when he played with my brother was that he announced mate in three (!) without looking at the board... Me and my brother tried to figure our those winning moves on the board :)) |

Nov-11-07 | | yemiosikoya: (1) I believe that was a strong win for you...it was a generous draw im sure. Now...who is your brother on GK, everyone seems to be beating him up and you do the revenge. Now that youve beat me up, i need to take in out on your brother quickly. |

Nov-11-07 | | ahmadov: Hello <yemi>, welcome to chessgames.com!!! |
|
Nov-11-07 | | ahmadov: Unfortunately, my brother gave up playing on gameknot.com, now he plays only with me OTB from time to time. I think you would be too strong for him. BTW, I think my position is not good at all in the other game... |
