Apr-16-11  kudubux: I would like to play chess with you on your page, <Zahir>.
Apr-17-11  ahmadov: Thanks for accepting the challenge, Rich! I expect <Switch> and <brankat> to kibitz while we are playing... Are you fine with that?
Apr-17-11  kudubux: Uhm,that's ok but one thing, does chessgames.com prohibit playing in player pages? This is a player page, after all.

SwitchingQuylthulg: CG does technically prohibit chess in player pages, but none of the reasons they give for doing so seem to apply to a game played here. This policy is intended more to keep kibitzer games from cluttering the pages of players like Kasparov or Anand, or the Kibitzer's CafĂ©.

<chessgames.com: It may seem contradictory that a chess-site would have policies which prohibit playing chess, but there are many good reasons for this:

[1] The kibitzing area was never intended to be a vehicle for conducting correspondence chess and therefore lacks features that would make it useful for that purpose.

[2] It alienates new people who stumble into the ongoing game; instead of seeing messages that they can read and reply to, they see things like "15...Bxg2" and don't understand the context.

[3] If two or more correspondence games took place on the very same thread it would be quite difficult for everybody involved, therefore it would turn the threads into a race in which the first people to start a game dominate the thread.

[4] The posts of chess moves are intrinsically off-topic for most pages. For example, when somebody visit's Anand's player page they expect to see discussion about the world champion, not a chess game between two people they have never heard of.>

Apr-17-11  ahmadov: <Switch><CG does technically prohibit chess in player pages, but none of the reasons they give for doing so seem to apply to a game played here.> Thanks for the clarification and for the point that I am quoting in this post of mine. I fully agree with you, but still I do not want to break any rule of the administrator of this web site. What shall we do then?
Apr-30-11  kudubux: <Zahir>

The simplest thing to do is we play another game in a chess playing site. :) I have posted our finished game in my forum.

May-02-11  ahmadov: That is a good option, but do not think that I never thought about this ;-) I just wanted to play here in order to secure more presence on CG.com...
Mar-31-12  kudubux: Happy Birthday my good friend <Zahir>!

And what a surprise, our game finally got uploaded! Thank you for that.

How are you?

Apr-01-13  wordfunph: happy birthday Zahir <ahmadov>!
Jan-14-14  ahmadov: Dear friends <kudu> and <word>, only now I realize that you posted congrats for me on my birthday for the last two years. :-) Belated but big "thank you" to both of you! :-)
Jan-17-14  RcfM: <Zahir>

My account <kudubux> has been laid to rest and I am now going by this 4-letter handle. :-)

You are welcome, as always. One thing nice about an occasional kibitzer is you always get to read good posts from well wishers. :-)

Apr-25-14  ahmadov: Thanks <wordfunph>!
