Mar-14-08  luzhin: Zambia's finest refutes 24.Nf2?? in thunderous fashion.
Jun-30-08  apexin: a fine game.25...Rd2 is a pretty winning move.
May-21-09  Demadone: My word!!! Mwaliteya mudala.
Oct-16-09  Cercatore: 26. Qe1 Rxb2

Maybe he can try.

Oct-16-09  Octal: <Cercatore>: 26 Qe1 Nxf3+

Jun-10-18  albinmoro: Td2 and trap now,nice blow
Nov-08-20  johnlspouge: Tuesday puzzle ...25?
May-21-25  King.Arthur.Brazil: The king goes with: 24...Bxf3 (25. gxf3 Rd2 26. Qxd2 Nxf3+ 27. Kg2 Nxd2 win the enemy's ♕, you know I love it!). But W can avoid this confusion with 25. Qe1 Bh5 26. Kh1 Nf3 27. Qc3 Qh4 28. Nh3 Nd2 29. Rfe1 Bf3 30. gxf3 Qxh3 31. Rc2 Nxf3 32. Rec1. This moves aren't forced, but I guess B has good attack anyway and extra 2♙, wth the threat of Rf7 - e4...
May-21-25  Walter Glattke: I tried a) 24-.Nf3+25. gxf3 Qg5+ 26.Kh1!? Rd2 27.Bd3 Rxe2 28.Bxe2 Qxe3 29.Bd1 Rd8 b) 26.Ng4 fxg4 27.Qg2 Qxe3+ 28.Qf2 Qxf2 29.Rxf2 Bxf3 --- but there is always a better move for black, try c) 24.-Bxf3 25.gxf3 Rd2 26.Qxd2 Nxf3+ 27.Kh1 Nxd2 28.Rg1 d) let us see what the match was: 24.-Bxf3 25. gxf3 Rd2 26.Bd3 Rxe2 27.Bxe2 -+

  takebackok: Easy Monday like Wednesday, forced 24...Bxf3 wins a pawn 25. Qe1 But 24...Nxf3+ (if 25. Kh1 Rd2!) so, 25. gxf3 Qg5+ (again if Kh1 Rd2) 26. Ng4 fxg4 27. fxg4 Bf3 28. Rxf3 Qxg4+ 29. Qg2 Qxf3 etc. wining.
May-21-25  mel gibson: I chose 24. .. Nxf3+

Stockfish 17 agrees with me:

24. .. Nxf3+

(24. .. Nxf3+ (1. ... Nxf3+ 2.gxf3 Qg5+ 3.Ng4 fxg4 4.fxg4 Bf3 5.Rxf3 Qxg4+ 6.Kh1 Qxf3+ 7.Qxf3 Rxf3 8.Re1 Rxe3 9.Rxe3 Rd1+ 10.Kg2 Rxb1 11.Bxe5 Bxe5 12.Rxe5 Rxb3 13.Re7 h5 14.h3 h4 ) +5.52/43 315)

score for Black +5.52 depth 43.

If I force SF to play the game ply, the Bishop is declined:

24. .. Bxf3

25. Qc2 (25. Qc2 (1.Qc2 Bc6 2.Nh1 Ne6 3.Rce1 Qg5 4.Rf2 h5 5.h3 Rd7 6.Kh2 h4 7.Qc1 Qh5 8.Bc2 Rfd8 9.Bc3 Qg5 10.Qa1 Re7 11.Kg1 e4 12.Bxg7 Nxg7 13.Qc1 Nh5 14.Rd1) -3.52/39 315)

score for White -3.52 depth 39.

An Englishman: Good Evening: Weird but true--also picked Stockfish's line, although 3.Ng4 never occurred to me. Only saw 3.Kh1,Rd2.
May-21-25  vajeer: Went with 24...Bxf3

I feel Bxf3 is Wednesday level, but Nxf3 is somewhere between Thursday-Friday level because one needs to see 27...Bf3 in advance which makes 24...Nxf3 so effective.

May-21-25  Walter Glattke: Training the queen's sac: 24.-Nxf3+ 25.Kh1 Qh4 26.Nh3 Qxh3 27.gxh3 Nd4+ 28.Kg1 Nxe2+ 29.Kf2 Nxc1 30.Bxc1 Be4 no tournament variation

May-21-25  King.Arthur.Brazil: <vajeer> Your variant is interesting, although W can replay differently as: <24...Nxf3+ 25. Kh1 Qh4 26. Nh3 Qxh3 27. gxh3 Nd4+ > 28. Qg2 Bxg2+ 29. Kxg2 Nxb3 30. Rc3 Nd2 31. Rd1 e4 32. Rc2 Nxb1 33. Rxb1 Bxb2 34. Rcxb2... W has lost 2P and maybe recover b6, but the P-structure is very weak.
