Dec-17-24  Mayankk: Easier than yesterday.

While 33 ... Qxh2+ 34 K×g4 Qg3+ 35 Kh5 Qg5# is very easy to see, it is not necessary to win. The basic 33 ... Qxe1 should also win as White has simply no counterplay.

Willber G: White should have thrown in the towel after 30.Ra6??
Dec-17-24  saturn2: that is a mate in three moves
Dec-17-24  mel gibson: That's too easy - LOL
Dec-17-24  Messiah: Easiest puzzle ever. Also, the PGN is wrong as the final move does not indicate checkmate. Terrible, as always.

Teyss: Not an exciting puzzle but there's a piece sac which is the DNA of POTDs. Two moves earlier 31...? would have made it a bit more interesting: you have to see the double check and the invasion of the BQ.

<Willber G: White should have thrown in the towel after 30.Ra6??> Indeed. Apparently he didn't see the WN was hanging.

Dec-17-24  Damenlaeuferbauer: After long pondering, the strong Vietnamese-Hungarian GM Thanh Trang Hoang, who is a connaisseur of the Dutch Defense, finally found the mate in 3 moves with the nice knight sacrifice 33.-,Qxh2+! 34.Kxg4,Qg3+ 35.Kh5,Qg5/Qh3#. Did I already mention, that I love Tuesdays?
Dec-17-24  King.Arthur.Brazil: .Easy Tuesday: 33...Qxh2+ 34. Kxg4 Qg3+ 35. Kh5 Qg5#. Point to everyone.

Just for fun: 33...Qg3+ 34. hxg3 Nf2+ 35. Kg2 Nxd3 36. Rd1 Rxe2+ 37. Kf1 Rf2+ 38. Kg1 Nb2 39. Rb1 fxg3 40. Ra2 Nd3 41. Ra8+ Kh7 42. Ra7 Nf4 43. Rxc7 Nh3+ 44. Kh1 Rh2#

Dec-17-24  King.Arthur.Brazil: Hi, <Teyss>. In reality the only ♘ move W could play was: 30. Nc6, which didn't stop the game line: 30...Nxg4+ ... 34. Kh5 Qg5#.

So, W must hold the Nd4 position. Maybe, he precipitated the order of moves. On 30. Qc3 Nd5?! 31. Qd2 Rfe6? 32. Ra6 Qc5

Now, W could not play 33. Rc1? Rxe2+ 34. Qxe2 Qxd4+ 35. Kf1 Rxe2 36. Kxe2 Qe3+ 37. Kd1 Qd3+ 38. Ke1 Qxb5.., must win.

Better is 33. Rc6 Qa7 34. b6 (Nxb6 35. Nxe6 Nc4+ 36. Qd4) Qb7 35. Nxe6 Qxc6 36. Nxc7 Nxc7 37. bxc7 Qxc7 38. Rd1...
