Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-01-10  whiteshark: Was it too hard to switch over to <3.e4>? Y'no, the 'best by test' thingy...
Jun-01-12  sfm: What was the point with 23.Nb4?
How about the simple 23.g3 instead?
Jun-01-12  fokers13: <sfm>:If g3 i can see 2 lines both starting with Rxc3!:

a)Kxc3 Ne4+ Kc2 Bxd3 Kxd3 Nxf2+ Kc3 Nxh1 Rxh1 Rxg2 and i think black has the better chances though i can't say that he's winning.

b)Bxc3 and through practically identical moves we end up in another interesting endgame.

In any case it seems that white wasn't willing to part with his material advantage just to enter an uncertain endgame and he paid for it.

Jun-01-12  fokers13: Hmm forgot earlier that the pawn was at g3 not g2 so instead i guess black will have to settle for ideas of Rh5!(threatening Bxg3) after all the exchanging and when/if the White K rushes to the kingside Rb5-Rb3 to harass the a pawn and bishop i think black should hold the draw in any case as he has the more active pieces his pawns will all be at least initially targets for the black DSB and the passed pawn is hardly decisive in this kind of position where it can be leisurely blockaded if not outright gobbled up.
