  Chessical: Zukertort's Bishop sacrifice on move 17 does not win immediately, and the simpler <17.dxc7> is very strong. Then, the pawn cannot be directly recaptured due to <18.Nb5>; and if Black castles then <18.Bxh6> wins.

The Bishop sacrifice provides a spectacular for the spectators and plenty of opportunities for Black to blunder. An alternative defence was:

<21... Rf8> which just holds on despite White gaining three pawns for his Bishop and retaining the initiative, for instance:

<22. Qg4+> Kb8 23. Rf2 Bc6 24. Qxg7 Kb7 25. Qf6 Qc5; whereupon the only chances are White's.
