we have been favored by Mr. James Wibrary, of the New Orleans Club, with many Morphy games that are new to us and which we believe have not yet been released. the advantage of Cavallo, and consisted of four series of games (among the last ever played by Morphy) with the following result: First series Morphy 6 Maurian3; Even 2
Second series Morphy 3, Maurian 3.
Third series Morphy 7, Maurian 10.
Fourth series Morphy 0, Maurian 4. Total Morphy 16, Maurian 20 Even 2. As a sesmplare of these races we give an interesting exhibition by Mr. Morphy who opened with a blocked center, a celebrated opening giving the Horse b1 of Advantage. In the newspaper New York Turf, Field and Farm, February 22, 1884 the game ends at the 27th move of White, in the varilibrium on Morphy they erroneously have one more move ', in the book of Maroczy game 391 has 28 moves, also in the book of Macon Shibut game 409 has 28 moves According to the historian Gianfelice Ferlito it is the eighth game of the third series 8 ^ Match 3 ^ Session

As the clipping shows, its source was the <Philadelphia Times>, a column run by Gustavus Reichhelm.

The original publication date is February 17th 1884.

< in the varilibrium on Morphy they erroneously have one more move ', in the book of Maroczy game 391 has 28 moves, also in the book of Macon Shibut game 409 has 28 moves>

Yes, the source above ends <27. Q x P and wins.>, so <27...Qh8+ 28. Rh7> is extraneous.
