Feb-09-13  jerseybob: The so-called "totals" published by this website are a sham. I know of at least one game won by Kavalek over Reshevsky, and it wasn't at some obscure weekend swiss, but in the 1972 U.S. Championship! It's right in the pages of CL&R.

perfidious: <jerseybob> Found a copy of that game and will submit it, though a long while may pass before it appears.

There seem to be at least two other games extant between these players as well-time to break out the submission form!

Feb-09-13  jerseybob: Perfidious:You're the go-to guy for this kind of thing? Got another Kavelek gem for you, his 1968 win in Amsterdam 1968 as black in a Najdorf over Ree. And by the way, my use of "sham" was maybe a little harsh. I see now this is a labor of love and you'e doing the best you can. But I often do spot omissions and would like to get those games out there. And how do we post our own games?

perfidious: <jerseybob> Not at all; there are many who submit games, and here is the link, with the form one needs for submissions:

PGN Upload Utility

Per my remarks above, there has been considerable lag time in processing submissions, so if/when you have a go, don't be at all surprised if you wait a long while-weeks or even months, despite the note stating that your game(s) will be reviewed within the next week.

Feb-09-13  jerseybob: Since 20..Ng5 21.Bxg5 turns out badly for black, why not 20..Bxd5? Black plays that capture a few moves later anyway. If 21.cxd5, the backward d-pawn is sealed off, and if 21.Qxd5,Nf8 heading for e6.
