Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-18-10  thegoldenband: I wonder what motivated Creswell to venture 4. Nxe5. Some sources recommend replying with 4...Qg5 instead. Is there anything at all for White in this line?
Mar-29-11  YoungEd: It sure doesn't look like it! White seems busted by move 10, since he has no more pieces developed to attack, and he's down a piece for two pawns.
Apr-16-12  Everett: I would certainly consider something different for White on move 9 compared to the horrible text move. Nc3, 0-0, and d4 all deserve a look.

No, especially after 4...Qg5! or 4...Qe7! when White might as well resign.

Jan-06-18  schnarre: ...White seemed to get plenty of checks, but no real attack (or even development for that matter). Defeat seems inevitable for White here.
Jan-06-18  dumbgai: Kind of funny that a game like this happens in the same tournament that also features Carlsen, Kramnik, etc. These guys even theoretically have a chance to face those top GMs.

That’s the olympiad.

Jul-16-18  jith1207: If these players are top board players, probably. The tournament has around 3,000 games which is more than someone's career total. So it's not surprising it had all sort of talent in the competition. Initial round might feature some of the lopsided competition you envision.
