May-04-15  thegoodanarchist: Does anyone know who annotated this game? I doubt these are Fischers notes. Not his style to just describe the move quality and nothing more.

I wonder if someone at cg.com wrote them?

May-05-15  sneaky pete: I found the same annotations in John Donaldson, A Legend On the Road, 2nd edition (2005). Donaldson gives the name <G. Jobin> as Fischer's opponent.

Stonehenge: Black was Gilles Jobin, see https://news.google.com/newspapers?....
May-05-15  thegoodanarchist: Thanks to both <sneaky pete> and <Stonehenge>!

I have submitted a correction slip to get Jobin's name corrected and also to credit IM Donaldson for his annotations.

Apr-27-16  1971: This checkmate pattern is identical to Anand vs Topalov, 2016 from the 2016 Candidates tournament.

Sally Simpson: There is a wonderful combo culminating with this pattern. It's not here. I have submitted it.

I won't be a spoiler as I've suggested it as a POTD.

Dec-23-18  DonChalce: nice combo indeed :)
