Kibitzer's Corner
May-16-11  sevenseaman: Gelfand played with guts and gumption.
May-16-11  arnaud1959: This is a dutch defence and not a Reti!
May-16-11  MaxxLange: I think it's actually a "Formation: Dutch Defense"
May-16-11  cjgone: Dutch defense falls once again.
May-16-11  Ogma: 33...Nd4 and 40...Rb8 don't look good.
May-17-11  PierreMontz: I think the losing move is 11...g4?! It was an early pawn storm with not much major pieces at the back ground. Better was the plan Ne7-g6.
May-17-11  kia0708: I am glad Gelfand played King's Indian Attack. A07 played by da best in the world.
May-17-11  madlydeeply: kings indian attack with d4 before e4?? Pshaw!
May-18-11  ajile: 6..e6 is too slow. Black needs to play for ..e5 in the Leningrad Dutch.
May-18-11  ajile: And if you do play an early ..e6 you better play ..d5 soon after to avoid White busting open the center with e4. It's basically a Leningrad Stonewall Dutch.
May-18-11  JohnBoy: <seven> (and pretty much every other kibbitzer here) - while Gelfand played the rapids part well, this is not the game to illustrate it. This game shows Kamsky sac'ing several pawns in a desperate last-ditch attempt to get some play and pull Gelfand off balance. Didn't work.
Jun-06-11  ReikiMaster: 17...Rae8 & e5 looks natural.
