If any of these trolls think they are better than a FIDE 2400, let them prove it in a match. (Otherwise, shaddup!)

Black still has some play ... many moves later ... and is a long way from being lost.

LIFE Master AJ: What would probably be helpful is if we could get my opponent's perspective on this Pawn sack.
Sep-26-11  SimonWebbsTiger: 9. Nxb5 Qa5 10. Nc3 Ne4 11. 0-0!
Sep-26-11  tacticalmonster: 46 Re8 is a mistake. Better is Rb1 trying to target weak pawn on the kingside. White shouldn't lose this ending. The position is about equal.
Sep-26-11  King of Nothing: I'm pretty new here, but I saw this game listed as a hot one and figured I'd check it out.

After I looked at the position some, 8...b5 didn't look too bad but then it didn't look so great.

Could it be that these posters had it right?

< Colonel Mortimer: <FSR:> <After I posted my comment, I started thinking about 10...Ne4 and couldn't see how to refute it.> 11.0-0 Nxc3 12.bxc3 Bxc3 13. Bf4 (or Bh6) gives White the advantage.>

<Sep-20-11 perfidious: <FSR>, <Colonel> On looking at this a bit more after 10....Ne4, even 11.Qd3 Nxc3 12.Bd2 is a possibility, after which I think White stands well.>

What I see here that bothers me is this post by the player who won the game.

Does anyone really have to insult others the way the poster did?

Besides, everyone should learn how to use their head and not play a move because a 2400 player did. What good is it to play the same way and make mistakes because you don't play a position the right way?

I remember a game from a long time ago where a good player trusted too much and didn't think for himself: A Zapata vs Anand, 1988.

Sep-26-11  Maatalkko: <King of Nothing> Welcome to our site! Games by <LIFE Master AJ> always turn out to be a trainwreck. <LMAJ> posts his games here to brag about what a great player he is.

People get annoyed with his bragging and criticize <AJ's> games to try and take him down a notch. Then <AJ> gets enraged and insults everybody. Then everybody insults <AJ>. The cycle repeats. It's a classic online flame war.

If you find it entertaining, then read it. If not, then just don't click on <AJ Goldsby> games. Some of <AJ's> games are good, like this one: A J Goldsby vs R Phillips, 2011. Other are not as good, like this one; it's probably best not to repeat AJ's novelty here.

If you want to learn from <AJ Goldsby>, he has personal websites that you can find by searching. There's no point reading the comments on <AJ's> games unless (like me) you find the argument bizarrely fascinating.

Sep-26-11  Colonel Mortimer: <LIFE Master AJ:> <As I said, I originally intended to follow this up with 10...Ne4; but (for some reason, something I saw OTB) I backed away from this idea.>

Close but no cigar..

<SimonWebbsTiger:> <9. Nxb5 Qa5 10. Nc3 Ne4 11. 0-0!>

As I said you sacrificed a pawn for zero compensation. No strategic compensation, no tactical compensation. Just a pawn down in the Benoni.

Although you won't admit it in a million years, privately you will learn from the instructive comments given to you by the kibitzers on this page. Opening advice that is free of charge I might add. Consider yourself privileged.

Surely you cannot be that naive?

You might want to learn spelling and punctuation, and common courtesy for that matter. But if you haven't done so by this time, no doubt you're not going to.

Somebody <could> teach him English, but common courtesy is something else.

How many folks do you have on your ignore list? 50? 123? 666?

Sep-27-11  Robed.Bishop: I must confess that after all this time on the site, I'm still not familiar with all of its features. I thought the ignore list made it so the posts of the person ignored could not be read. It appears, however, that <AJ's> ignore function is somewhat more opaque. Otherwise, he really can not be reading all of the comments he responds to.

<FSR> How many times have you been put on his ignore list? I know I've made it twice, so you have to have made it more times than that.

Excellent point. It is unconscionable (look it up, A.J.) that CG.com has obviously given The Site Flamer a non-working ignore list, since he evidently spends hours a day reading the posts of the legions of people he's ignoring.

<<FSR> How many times have you been put on his ignore list? I know I've made it twice, so you have to have made it more times than that.>

I probably have, but I don't know. At least twice, I'm sure.

LIFE Master AJ: Dozens of games in the db, you once said this was said this was only MY pawn drop. Now that it turns up others have played it, ... well, (the saying) "egg on your face," is correct here.
Sep-27-11  Colonel Mortimer: My very first post on this site - and it immediately got me on the iggy list.

<hayton3:> <aw1988> I don't blame you; in nearly all of his postings <LIFEMasterAJ> manages to illustrate a remarkable propensity for childish obnoxiousness. His peevish remarks squirm embarassingly alongside the geeky humour with which they are projected. He is his own worst publicist and should re-direct his energies into structuring his website (which incidently has some very good and interesting chess content)

I wonder when I got that special form of recognition from the great <AJ>, since I just found out I'm on that ignore list. My life is over. Heartbroken am I.

I agree.

Santa, please grant me just this one Christmas wish.

I wouldn't need anything more.
