Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-12-12  luzhin: 20...Nxf2!! was a shocker.Best response was 21.h3! but after 21...Nxh3+! 22.Bxh3 Nf3+ 23.Kf2 Nxe1 24.Bxd8 Rxd8 25.Qxe1 Qb6+ 26.Kf1 Qf6+ 27.Kg1 Qxb2 28.Rd1 Re8 29.Qd2 Qxa2 Black is well on top.
Oct-12-12  master of defence: <luzhin> What happens if 21.Kxf2?
Oct-13-12  Shams: <m.o.d.> 21.Kxf2 Qb6+ and 22...Ng4 looks quite decisive.
Oct-13-12  luzhin: That's right: 21.Kxf2 Ng4+ 22.Kf3 f5 23.Nf4 Nxh2+ is one illustration of the horror that follows 21.Kxf2. Also, note that 21.Bxd8 is clobbered by 21...Qb6+ 22.Kf1 Nf2-g4!
Oct-13-12  IT4L1CO: Why did I predict the Nfg4-Nxf2 maneuver? I'm pretty sure I saw that in a Fischer's game, but can't find it...
Oct-13-12  Shams: <IT4L1CO> This old warhorse, most likely: R Byrne vs Fischer, 1963
