Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-17-21  N.O.F. NAJDORF: After 15 Bf4 Rad8?? 16 Nd4

white won easily,

but I was surprised Yates did not play immediately

15 Nd4.

For example,

15 Nd4 Qb6

16 Nc6+ Kd7

17 Rxd6+Kxd6

18 Bf4+ Kd5

19 Rd1+

but after 19 ... Ke4

I cannot see a win for white.

NM JRousselle: 15. Bf4 is the best move. It takes advantage of the knight's location on f4. Also, Nd4 could be answered by Bh2+ and Black may gain undeserved counter play.
Sep-21-21  N.O.F. NAJDORF: Yes - you're right.

After

15 Nd4 Bxh2+

16 Kh1 Qh5

17 Nc6+ Kf8

18 Qxa8+ Kg7

19 Qxh8+ Kxh8

white's king appears to be helpless.
