Balogh wanted to play the King's Indian Attack against Wesley's Sicilian Defense with <3.g3> move order, recommended by John Emms in "Dangerous Weapons: Anti-Sicilians". Wesley opted for another idea by playing <3...d5>. It is very difficult to win with the black pieces when your opponent plays safely satisfied with a draw.
