Aug-24-23  mel gibson: That was pretty obvious.

chrisowen: I cog with jab mind flop viktor Rxf4+ arete over faith?
Aug-24-23  TheaN: This is Tuesday level at best after <33....Rxf4+ 34.Qxf4 Ne6+ -+> Black wins the queen and White's position was already horrible.

perfidious: The position after 12....Bxd4 is familiar from my praxis of long ago, but I never faced 13.Qxg4+ in place of the far more common 13.Qxd4; to the best of my recollection, Keene and Botterill regarded it as harmless even in the early 1970s. If Black can get queens off, he should have little to fear.
Aug-24-23  Brenin: That B on a7 is just dying to get into the action. All Black has to do is lure the White Q onto a square where the N on d4 can attack it, with discovered check. The obvious way is to make White an offer he can't refuse, namely the royal fork 33 ... Rxf4+.
Aug-24-23  thegoodanarchist: Go Donchenko!
Aug-24-23  agb2002: Black is one pawn up.

The bishop x-rays the white king. This suggests 33... Rxf4+ 35.Qxf4 Ne6+ 36.Qe3 Bxe3+ - + [q+n+2p vs R+B].

Aug-24-23  agb2002: <chrisowen: I cog with jab mind flop viktor Rxf4+ arete over faith?>

This is an interesting puzzle: you didn't repeat the initial move as usual.

Aug-24-23  Refused: the pin and the discovered check are tactical motives in this position.

Once you see them, the next question is how to make use of them, can I capture the queen somehow.

Then 33...Rxf4+ becomes fairly obvious.

Aug-25-23  King.Arthur.Brazil: I really didn't see if is there something better. you know guys, the King loves to capture enemy's ♕, so: 33...Rxf4+ 34. Qxf4 Ne6+ 35. Qe3 Bxe3+ 36. Kxe3 Qb4... etc.
