  HeMateMe: Natalie wins with a classic crunch after going up a pawn. Kazimova is from Azerbaijan. That's a ways from Europe. I guess if Russia is considered part of Europe, then all the USSR breakaway republics are also considered part of Europe. It's a shaky extension, but the more the merrier.
Jul-24-13  Nerwal: Black didn't look comfortable handling those hanging pawns against a much higher rated opponent. The difference in ratings may be the reason for moves like 18... ♘xe5 - 18... ♘f6 must be the principled answer. 23... ♕a6 is perhaps the decisive mistake already.

  perfidious: <Nerwal>: It may well be the difference in playing strength which is the reason for some of Black's supine play here. One rather doubts that the difference in ratings is the reason.

Alekhine's note to White's fourteenth move in Bogoljubov vs Botvinnik, 1936 seems a propos.
