FSR: This is really a Philidor Defense by transposition. It could have arisen after, for example, 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 d6 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.d4 Bg4. After 21...Be7! Black would have been up a pawn for nothing (-0.8 according to Houdini 3).

perfidious: <FSR> If only I could get access to the opening classifications for a week, or even a day-one thing sure, there would be far less of these A04 abortions strewn throughout the game headings in this DB.

FSR: <perfidious> Whoever heard of a <Zukertort Opening: Pirc Invitation> (or for that matter, <Zukertort Opening: Sicilian Invitation>, 1.Nf3 c5)? I'm guessing that these are Schiller terms. But the thing either turns into a Pirc or into something else, so it's a weird way to refer to the opening of a game. The opening should either be called a Pirc (if that's what it turned into) or the something else - in this case a Philidor's. Likewise, a <Zukertort Opening: Sicilian Invitation> should either be called a Sicilian (if that's what it turned into) or the something else that it turned into - an English, Reti, etc.
