Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-29-14  Ke2: 25. Qg8!!!!! wins instantly.

If Kxg8, Ng6 is a mating net.

If he runs, Ng6+, and Rhd3 is decisive.

Jul-29-14  Ke2: This opening is great, 8. g4 is a novelty, but it is totally sound and natural. I highly doubt it was prepared, and is instead a sign of Yi's Morphy-style crystal initiative.
Jul-25-15  Ke2: Just going to return to this game. You gotta look at 25. Qg8
Jul-25-15  Barococo Prosopoeia: Mating net as in winning or as in fvcking?
Jul-25-15  Barococo Prosopoeia: <If he runs, Ng6+, and Rhd3 is decisive.>

...Kc7

Jul-25-15  Kwesi: Ok then probably 25.Qg8!! Ke7 26 Rhd3! first.
Jul-25-15  Barococo Prosopoeia: 26...Bxf5
Jul-26-15  sydbarrett: Yet another wonderful attacking game by Wei Yi in the old romantic style of immortal masters like Tal and Morphy. The comment bump helped bring this one to my attention. Hope to see many many more games like this from Mr. Wei.
Jul-26-15  Kwesi: <Barococo Prosopoeia> 27.Nxf5+ Nxf5 Qxa8 White is up a whole rook and the initiative.
