Jul-26-05  Lucky1: Despite the mistakes by black, I am worse than Mr. Fuchner. I would not have resigned yet.
Feb-09-06  Autoreparaturwerkbau: Wouldn't you? I would. Only 2 options are left there: serious material loss or checkmate.
Feb-02-08  wolfmaster: What the Fuch?

blazerdoodle: a pawn down, then the rook for the bishop. Ouch. Going to take another look! he doesn't even lose the rook do to the pin. So in 2 or 3 moves, Black is a pawn and rook down. He's smashed.

Interesting opening though. I'd like to ask those with more experience this, is the opening as bad as Fuchner's play? Since opening's like these are no longer played, is it because they are "bad ?" or just played out?

Apr-27-14  Karpova: This game is from the <Hauptturnier> of the Bavarian Chess Congress in Nuremberg, 1900.

Black goes astray already with 6...Bxf3, which merely helps White to develop. He gets into a difficult position soon. Perhaps, only 8...e5 would have allowed him to fight on.
