Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-28-14  Gregor Samsa Mendel: A bit of an upset. I was following the game on the live feed, and it had an entertaining time scramble--Yam had something like 5 minutes for his last 15 moves. Krush's play may have been adversely affected by her 80-move-draw with Ivanchuk the previous night.
Jun-28-14  Edmontonchessclub: This is Yam's first win against a GM.
He recently earned the FM title (though it will be a few months until FIDE makes it official).

Preliminary analysis using Stockfish DD shows the top 2 moves as <17. Qe2> and <17. Nh2>. Forcing Stockfish to include <17.Bf6> gives:

[-0.42] d=32 17.Nh2 Ncxe5 (0:37:04) 2142430kN

[-0.54] d=31 17.Qe2 Ngxe5 18.Nxe5 Nxe5 19.Bf4 Bxg2 20.Kxg2 f6 21.Qe4 Rbd8 22.Qb7 Bb8 23.Qxd7 Rxd7 24.Bxe5 Bxe5 25.Re4 Kf7 26.Rc4 Bc7 27.Rcxd4 Bd6 28.Rc4 e5 29.Re2 Bb8 30.d4 e4 31.Re1 f5 32.Rc3 (0:27:55) 1596777kN

[-1.09] d=31 17.Bf6 gxf6 18.exf6 Bd8 19.Qg5 e5 20.h5 Qd6 21.hxg6 hxg6 22.Nfd2 Bxf6 23.Ne4 Bxg5 24.Nxd6 Bxc1 25.Rxc1 Nb4 26.Nxe8 Bxg2 27.Nf6 Kg7 28.Nd7 Rb7 29.Nxe5 Bd5 30.Nxd4 f6 31.Nef3 Nxa2 32.Ra1 Nb4 33.Ne1 Rd7 34.Kf1 Bf7 35.Ndc2 Nc6 36.b4 a5 37.bxa5 bxa5 (0:33:40) 1940044kN

Based on this analysis (31/32 ply), it appears that 17.Bf6 might be suspect.
