perfidious: After the forced exchange of queens, the intrepid knight at f2 is unexpectedly trapped following R1e2.
Apr-18-16  JohnBoy: <perf> - it took me a moment to realize that the Q exchange is forced. Qh6 is threatened. Ouch.
Apr-19-16  Atking: Looking as this game as a bad(A dark square B in fianchetto) French defense I understand it better. White played against this Caro Kann defense under Tarrasch' French defense theory, a firm control of d4 square then Kh1 with f4-f5 attack.
Apr-19-16  Atking: White was winning already before the move 30 but yes the end is elegant.

tpstar: During the live commentary, Yasser Seirawan noted that in the Caro-Kann Two Knights with 6. g3, then 6 ... Nf6 7. Bg2 dxe4 8. Nxe4 Nxe4 9. Qxe4 Qd5 can be a handy draw line for Black as it forces an early Queen trade:

Apr-19-16  Ulhumbrus: If 24...Nc6xe5 won't win a pawn an alternative is 24...Nxd4
Apr-19-16  Everett: <tpstar> I think 8.Qe2 is possible in that line, if one wants to avoid the Q-swap and recapture w/ Bxe4 later.

Always preferred 5....Nf6 over 5....e6, though I do not remember why; certainly it was not because of the possibility you mention, though.

Apr-20-16  RookFile: Naka did what he had to do and got the win. I'm not sure he's done yet in this tournament. He's got to keep putting the W's up on the board.
Apr-20-16  bgoomba: What's wrong with NxD1 in the final position? Must be something...
Apr-20-16  Eduardo Leon: <bgoomba> 37...♘xd1 38.♕xh6+ ♔g8 39.♗d5+ ♖6f7 40.♕xg6+ ♕g7 41.♗xf7+ ♖xf7 42.♕xg7+ ♔xg7 43.♖xd1 liquidates into a won endgame.
Apr-20-16  SirRuthless: Qxh6+ Kg8 Bd5+ Rgf7 only move (R8f7 Re8 Kills) Bxf7+ Kxf7(Rxf7 Re8 Kills) Qh7+ Qg7 only move and then Rf1+ King has to clear the file , Q has no protection on g7 so Qxg7 is totally lost for black.
May-02-16  loeksnokes: SirRuthless line is great.
