Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-03-17  Marmot PFL: Commentators like 17...Qc8 (maybe ⩱) rather than the somewhat passive Na5-c6, and thought white had a substantial edge if he played 20 Nbd5. The ending white forces instead seems drawn as black defends accurately.
Dec-03-17  Mirovsk: <and thought white had a substantial edge if he played 20 Nbd5>... 19.Ncd5?
Dec-03-17  Louben: You probably means 20. Ndb5?
Dec-03-17  JPi: The last position White plays and wins, Black plays and draws. Matters of one move. It shows the level of these players and a good fight between these two top GMs. By the way 47.c4 Kf4 48.a6 Ke5 49.a7 Ra1 50.Kb6 Kd4 51.b5 cxb 52.cxb5 Kc4 and 53...Rxa7 is also draw.

Dec-04-17  Ulhumbrus: One alternative to 15 g4 is to prepare this by the manoeuvre Nd4-e2-f4 so that that after ...hg in reply to g4 the knight will support the advance h5 eg 15 Nd4-e2 Nc4 16 Bxc4 Rxc4 17 Nf4 Qa5 18 g4 hg 19 h5. However after 19..Rxc3! 20 Qxc3 Qxc3 21 bxc3 gxf3 Black may have too much for the exchange eg 22 hg hg 23 Nxg6 Nxe4 . After 15 Nd4-e2 Nc4 16 Bxc4 Rxc4 17 Nf4 Qa5 an alternative to 18 g4 is 18 Bxf6 Bxf6 19 Nc3-d5 Qxd2 20 Nxf6+ exf6 21 Rxd2 and it seems that Black's d6 pawn will fall.
Dec-04-17  belgradegambit: You are all missing the point. When was the last Dragon played between 2 super GMs? I'll wait..... Dragon player all my life but I assumed it's refuted by the absence at the highest levels.

Dec-04-17  belgradegambit: <Ulhumbrus> proves my point: a single RAPID dragon game from 2014 is the only one found since 2010.
Dec-04-17  5hrsolver: At least this was well fought out draw.
