  woldsmandriffield: LQL defends well until 88 Re7 (better 88 Rf7+). After 88..Qa3+ 89 Kd7 Peralta can ask questions with 89..Qc5 forcing 90 d6 and now the sequence 90..Qb5+ 91 Kd8 Kf6 92 Kc7 Qc5+ 93 Kd7 Qc4 94 Kd8 Qc6 95 Rd7 Qc5! picks up the d-pawn since 96 Ke8? is mate in 3.

Its tough both to defend and win this ending (!) and Peratea had more chances near the end. The Black Queen could have restricted White's options greatly after 104..Qc5! 105 Rb7 Qc6 106 Ka7 Qd6 107 Ka8 Qe5(!) 108 Ka7 Qa5+ 109 Kb8 Kd6! and the pawn falls.

The win finally slipped away after the error 105..Qc5? when LOL found the neat 106 Rb8+! Rxd7 107 Rb7+ with either a draw by repeated checks or by the exchange of Q for R because white controls b5 and therefore the 5th rank.
