Aug-18-20  Ulhumbrus: If after 11 f4 the move 11...f5 counts as a threat this suggests 11 Ng3 or even 11 g4 first

An Englishman: Good Afternoon: 10...Ba6 is nearly a century old! See P F Johner vs Capablanca, 1929. Seems to work well for current or former world champions whose surnames begin with CA.

11.Ng3 has not fared well in the CG database, but <Ulhumbrus'> innovation 11.g4 looks very interesting. Both 11...g6 and 11...Na5; 12.f4,Bxc4; 13.f5!?(Bc2!?),Bxd3; 14.Qxd3,f6 seem plausible, but will have to let the silicon monsters decide.

0ZeR0: In the post-game interview Nakamura pointed out that after 25...Kg7 Magnus could have played 26.Rb7+. If 26...Re7 then 27.Qe2 and white probably has an advantage. He said he would be forced to reply with something like 26...Kg8 instead. However, Magnus instantly played 26.Qb7+.
Nov-27-21  Messiah: Ouch! :-)
