Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-27-22  Mississaugan: The last move of the game was 30. Bc6 and white wins. However, can't Black check with his rook 30...Rd1 Check and mate, or am I missing something?
Jan-27-22  Cibator: What's being missed here is a correct 30th move for White! Even our poor old friend NN would have seen that Bf6+ wins outright.

Was there perhaps some confusion in transcribing a game that was originally in descriptive notation? Both 30.Bc6???? and 30.Bf6+ are rendered as B-B6 in descriptive (no further disambiguation needed as long as a '+' or 'ch' is added to indicate the check).
