Honza Cervenka: 33.Kf2 was a mistake. Instead of that 33.Rf1 could hold the game equal. Before transferring of the Queen from b7 to e7 black could insert 34...Be3+, as after immediate 34...Qe7 white could play 35.Kg1 with idea to hide the King in the corner but black's attack would have been strong there anyway.

MissScarlett: This was one of four early Kasparov games added to <cg> back in 2020. Unsourced, I may add.

There are 2450 odd Kasparov games in the DB, but Magnus Carlsen is rapidly closing in on 5000.

I saw Carlsen's blitz rating today: 3366. Perhaps his rating is closing in on the rating of St*n V**ghn.

Watch your back, Stan Vaughan.

pittpanther: Wow! Stan Vaughan, a name I have not heard in a long time! I played Vaughan years ago. I did not know before we played that he had artificially inflated his rating, but after the game it was clear since I was not strong enough to crush a 2400-2600 rated player (I forget his exact rating at the time) :)
