An Englishman: Good Afternoon: Yes, yes, yes--Super GMs are supposed to scare mere mortals. Nonetheless, the manner in which Nakamura overwhelmed his opponent starting with 17.d5 seems unfairly frightening because the game looked so equal until 16...Qe7.

fredthebear: Nakamura is a tremendous kingside attack artist, as he shows here, but matters had to be cleared up in the center first.

It's definitely accurate to call this Larsen's Opening (A01), and the Nf3 makes it a Nimzo- . However, it transposes to a 5.b3 Colle-Zukertort (Rubinstein) Opening against Lasker's New York System (Reversed London).
