woldsmandriffield: Gligoric eliminates the less dangerous Bishop: 21..Nc4 was preferable to 21..Nxa4.

Fischer methodically improves the prospects of his King’s Knight with 26 Ne1! He calmly deals with Kingside threats (32 Kh2!) and side-steps the one Black trick with 34 Nxb8 Bxa4 35 Nc3 (or 35 Qb4 but not 35 Rxa4?? Nf1+).

Jul-30-24  N.O.F. NAJDORF: 39...g5 40. Ra7 Bc7 (Qf8 41. Qa4) 41. Nb6! (41. Bb6? Bxb6 42. Rxe7 Nf1+ 43. Kh1 Ng3+ draws!)

wins

39...Rb7 40. Ra8 Kg7 41. Na5 Rd7 42. Nc6 Qf6 43. Nxd8 Rxd8 44. Qc7+
