Nov-08-23  jerseybob: Sure this wasn't Allen Kaufman?

perfidious: <jerseybob>, I wonder; Kaufman's games listed herein are almost exclusively US Opens or events in metro New York, though given the paucity of information, as well as games, on so many players of his strength from the pre-database epoch, one can scarcely be sure.
Nov-09-23  jerseybob: <perfidious>On P.119(June) of the CL 1965 Annual you'll find the results of the 1965 Illinois Open: (1-2) Robert Byrne/Ed Formanek tied with 6 1/2 ;(3-4) Eugene Martinowsky /Allen Kaufman tied with 6 each. The upper midwest had some great players.

perfidious: <jerseybob>, makes as much sense as anything; I shall submit a correction.

Nov-09-23  jerseybob: I remember several years ago seeing those archives listed someplace for sale; luckily I didn't shell out the $20 or whatever, and now of course they're free everywhere.
