FSR: This game would likely have ended in a draw (as engine-aided correspondence games normally do) had Johnny not uncorked the shocking 17...Rad8?? Upon taking his knight, I told him, "This is either a mouseslip or the deepest move of all time!" He explained that he had unknowingly had two windows open and thought he was playing ...Rad8 in the other game!! This sort of bizarre mishap is what decides correspondence games these days.

FSR: This "brilliant" win enabled me to win the tournament (a Petroff thematic tournament), my first ICCF tournament win. Oddly, in the prior Petroff thematic tournament I played in, I finished dead last after drawing all my games except the one where I got the bright idea of playing the Stafford Gambit, despite (correctly) believing that it wins for White! D'oh! My only ICCF loss to date out of 218 finished games so far. G Tanner vs F Rhine, 2023.
