offramp: Today has been proclaimed Spassky Day. The <FIRST OF MARCH> has been retired from the calendar.
The Elo rating "2650" cannot be used in the future. FIDÉ will used 2649.99999999 and 2650.0000001.

HeMateMe: Also, st Petersburg will be renamed "Leningrad." I know this is true because it's part of a Donald Trump executive order. He's also issuing retroactive pardons to Son of Sam and Bernie Madoff (more about that later).

It looks really good! Full of promise!

Although White is 2731, and Black is 2670, I think Black will win inside 50 moves.

offramp: HeMateMe Trump has renamed the city Kyiv as <SPASSKoGRAD> "for all time". Good choice!

offramp: 15...d5. Black hasn't castled but he is taking up activity in the centre. Nowadays, people <DO> things like that.
Mar-01-25  Muttley101: I'd love to know what's going on inside white's head, because white's position after 19 ... R:c7 looks terrible to me. I get that white has a5, but it's not clear to me that it gives white anything more than a tenable worse position.

I am sticking to that prediction.

This game is going to be a draw. <Black> played a Sicilian really well. This game's success is that Chithambaram <survived> the game, even though he outEloed his oppo.

  offramp: On this, my Spassky daughter's wedding, I do not want a ♖ + ♙♙♙♙ v ♖ + ♙♙♙ for 255 moves.

perfidious: Looking good for the defence: the rook pawn is on the fourth, so White should hold this.

We may hope, however, that it does not last 255 moves.

offramp: Do you ever listen to shortwave? I do!

People listen to shortwave radio and play through rook-endings like this.
