Jun-08-12  Nightsurfer: Felix Magath, the soccer coach and chess player, has been featured on <ChessBase.de>, please see the article http://chessbase.de/nachrichten.asp...
Jul-02-12  Nightsurfer: The man who has to be blamed that <Felix Magath> has - sometimes - tried his luck in chess, that is a well-known chess coach in Hamburg, namely Gisbert Jacoby who has tried to transform the football player into a decent player at the board, please compare the source http://www.chessbase.de/newsroom2.a...
Jul-27-13  Nightsurfer: <Felix Magath>, Germany's No.1 in chess-football, has become <60 years> old yesterday on <July 26th, 2013>. The German blog <SCHACHWELT> has published a feature on that occasion, please turn to http://www.schach-welt.de/BLOG/Blog... - <FELIZ CUMPLEANOS>, Felix!

alexmagnus: Finally. I searched the entire net for Magath's games (just to see how the famous football coach plays chess - after all, he often compares the two games in interviews), but couldn't find anywhere. Which surprises me as this page seems to exist since at least 2009...
Jul-29-13  Nightsurfer: <alexmagnus> Herewith an English-language feature that analyses <Felix Magath>'s skills at the board of chess and on the Holy Green: http://espnfc.com/columns/story?id=... ... interesting stuff!
Sep-23-14  Nightsurfer: With regard to <Felix Magath's> - doomed - excursion to Fulham in 2014, there have been several publications that have discussed <Felix Magath>'s addiction to chess in the context of his career in football, please check out http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb... and http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo... , and <Felix Magath>'s chess craze has been mentioned by the BBC as well: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football... . The only problem is: If <Felix Magath>'s mission to Fulham would have been a success, all those publications about <Felix Magath> and football and chess would have been great news ... but, sorry to say, <Felix Magath> failed at Fulham ... :-( ... !
Sep-23-14  mrbasso: I would rather say hire Magath was a complete failure of Fulham.
