Jul-29-15 | | Barococo Prosopoeia: <gokusano: And who will be the designsted beneficiary,> The children but with a proviso that they can get the money only after 5 years and if they die before that the substitute beneficiaries will be the Andal Family of Maguindanao. |

Jul-29-15 | | gokusano: That's good news sir Noypi. The young guns need more international exposure, though I'm a bit surprised in knowing that South Korea will sponsor a chess event |

Jul-29-15 | | Barococo Prosopoeia: Let's put Master B's name on top with a short story. Traffic investigators arrived at a scene of an accident and saw a car that had collided head-on with a big tree with two dead people inside, a man and a woman. They couldn't find any witnesses, but there was a monkey, apparently domesticated, standing near the wreckage. More surprisingly, it appeared that the monkey could communicate by sign language. The chief investigator then interrogates the animal: "Did you see what happened here?" The monkey nods in assent. What were these two doing before the collision? The monkey held an imaginary bottle in his hand and tilted his head up and appears to drink from the bottle. Aha, so they were drinking! What else were they doing? The monkey puckered his lips and made smacking sounds with them. They were kissing? What else? The monkey made grunting sounds as he moved his pelvis forward and back several times. They were having sex? No wonder they ran into that tree! What about you, monkey, what were you doing at that time? The monkey held his hands forward, grips an imaginary steering wheel, makes a broom broom sound, and makes a turning motion left and right. They charged the monkey with reckless imprudence resulting to damage to property and multiple homicide. |

Jul-30-15 | | pinoymaster77: Yup goku, maybe good sign for SoKor to get more involved and interested in the 'standard' chess. Hope its not too cold out there now. |

Jul-31-15 | | gokusano: With the activation of SOKOR chess fed, Asian players will have more tournaments to join and compete. Hoping Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and other Asian countries follow suit. The shift of chess supremacy may happen to Asia if more countries will embark on their chess development. Asia can rival Europe as the chess Mecca of the world. |
|
Jul-31-15 | | Barococo Prosopoeia: That would also provide impetus to Nokor to finally invite Pinoy chessers to represent it in the Olympiad with Master B manning its top board. |
|
Jul-31-15 | | gokusano: What if we conduct a try-out here? I'll be staking my Elo rating against anyone, even if I have to suffer the remotest possibility of losing points due to unforeseeable upset. |

Jul-31-15 | | lainulo: <Wesley would curse his own mother in public.> A spat could develop between a parent and child- this happens quite often making in a normal scenario. In most cases, both parties would opt to make the affair a private affair. They prefer not to to watch their linen on public. Such was the initial stance Wes and his real mom would take on the onset. When the impostor mom arrived, all hell broke loose. At the behest of Lotis, Wesley would face the media to
make the conflict a fall guy for Wes' subpar performance at the US championship. In her own words, Wesley's mom would conspire with others to destroy her own kid. An allegation that would go against and beyond reason for what kind of mother would want harm to befall his child. The one with the criminal mind perhaps but Leny is a CPA- a most unlikely profile of a scheming and willing principal of a crime. Leny would go public to defend herself from such malicious accusations. She would then go mum to prevent the fire from catching further wind and spreading . The only offense I could fathom from her end was as an accessory- i.e. protecting her son from further prosecution. Leny would acquit herself well during that chessdom interview. Lotis charges backfired like a boomerang hitting her right at the temple. She would convince Wesley to condemn his mother on public via his facebook account. Wesley would willingly obliged like a drugged zombie. The spell casted upon Wesley would continue up to this day. Lotis would take on the limelight as surrogate mother accompanying Wesley on his foray enjoying all the perks while the true mother (father and siblings included) would live on misery- Wesley would not mind if they existed or not as he goes about his day. Is Wesley taking on the right journey? You'd be the judge and tell me. |

<Is Wesley taking on the right journey?> I say he will come to the crossroad of his life sooner or later. And when that time comes, it will be his decision and his alone. https://youtu.be/tvGHSvfnlsQ |

Jul-31-15 | | Jim Bartle: <And when that time comes, it will be his decision and his alone.> True, but I am confident he would not make such an important decision without listening to the advice of the denizens of the <edmund beronio> page. |

Jul-31-15 | | gokusano: What puzzles me is the way this former screen star advertised herself, claiming she is a Christian and a writer as well in a Christian guild. Her sanctimonious action berefts of worthiness and very ironic on the outset. She is literally stealing the son of another woman. Clap clap to her. Kudos! Oh no!! |

Aug-01-15 | | Silly Sampson: <<Is Wesley taking on the right journey?> I say he will come to the crossroad of his life sooner or later.> I agree.
Let me quote Mrs Eleanor <“When you adopt the standards and the values of someone else … you surrender your own integrity,†> There are two part in life, the crossroads, the should and the must. Everyday, we get to choose. <When we choose Should, we’re choosing to live our life for someone or something other than ourselves. The journey to Should can be smooth, the rewards can seem clear, and the options are often plentiful.> The counterpoint:
< Must is different. Must is who we are, what we believe, and what we do when we are alone with our truest, most authentic self. It’s that which calls to us most deeply. It’s our convictions, our passions, our deepest held urges and desires — unavoidable, undeniable, and inexplicable. Unlike Should, Must doesn’t accept compromises. Must is when we stop conforming to other people’s ideals and start connecting to our own — and this allows us to cultivate our full potential as individuals. To choose Must is to say yes to hard work and constant effort, to say yes to a journey without a road map or guarantees, and in so doing, to say yes to what Joseph Campbell called “the experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonance within our innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive.†Choosing Must is the greatest thing we can do with our lives.> http://www.brainpickings.org/2015/0... Which one Wesley chose? You make the call. |

Aug-01-15 | | gokusano: The cursing was post at facebook, open and viewable to public. Anyone can read it there until the time it was removed. No matter how you regard it, the fb post is distasteful to majority of the Filipinos, especially to those who look unto Wesley in high esteem. The good natured person is gone, his character sunk horribly amidst the praise of his former fans, gone in 60 seconds! His father, William could be lamenting in pain because of the wound from an accident he encountered, and agonizing as well over the loss of his beloved son to a usurper. Such was a pitiful scenario. May the conscience of the home-wrecker bothers her throughout the rest of her life. |

It means human can not get along with their lives alone and succeed, and we are all dependent on other people and we need them. We can't thrive just by being alone. http://english.stackexchange.com/qu... Far more relevant than confomity to social norms is the issue of right and wrong. The choice between must and should needs to conform to standards of morality. Morality (from the Latin moralitas "manner, character, proper behavior") is the differentiation of intentions, decisions, and actions between those that are distinguished as proper functions and those which involve the omission of proper functions, the disjunction between right and wrong.[1] Morality can be a body of standards or principles derived from a code of conduct from a particular philosophy, religion, or culture, or it can derive from a standard that a person believes should be universal.[2] Morality may also be specifically synonymous with "goodness" or "rightness." Forsaking one's parents in favor of a stranger goes against religion (pls. read your bible) and filipino culture (which advocates close family ties and love and respect of parents and observance of debt of gratitude or utang na loob) Breaking free from these chains of accepted human behavior renders one a recluse (i.e. a person who lives in voluntary seclusion from the public and society.) For as long as Wesley remains true to his selfish conviction devoid of values and virtues, he would remain a persona non grata or an unwelcome person to the <Edmund Beronio> page. |

Aug-02-15 | | lainulo: Now I have come to the cross-roads in my life. I always knew what the right path was. Without exception, I knew, but I never took it. You know why? It was too damn hard. Now here's Wesley. He's come to the cross-roads. He has chosen a path. Is it the the right path? Is it a a path made of principle that leads to character? You tell me. |
