Jun-27-15  gokusano: Maybe dos-dos na?
Jun-27-15  epistle: He is now being managed by Trixia Gomez who sleeps in his bedroom.
Jun-28-15  epistle: A good strategy for Caruana at Dortmund is to draw with black and win with white, says Gatus.
Jun-29-15  epistle: He should be invited at Edmonton next year. He'd play better than those Canadian patzers who were allowed to play there recently.
Jun-30-15  epistle: Wesley keeps on feeding them and the falakfak boyz keep on swallowing.

Well, that's not my problem. E. Gatus once said: "A heart full of hatred is better than a heart full of sh_t. For hatred may yet turn to love, but sh_t remains sh_t forever."

Jul-04-15  epistle: Germans are better than fake Americans.

--Edmundo Gatus

Jul-04-15  evilkenevil: go go go gatus...you're the man!
Jul-05-15  epistle: "Guts is not enough to win in chess. You need an "a" to complete it and make it gatus. "

--Edmundo Gatus

Jul-05-15  epistle: Not to rain on the falakfak boyz's parade but this is the truth about competitions whether it be of chess or beauty contests: no one remembers the second placer, much less one who only tied for 3rd place.
Jul-07-15  epistle: <tappingfoot: Is the brilliancy prize no longer exist in todays tournament? This could be a silly question,...>

Not only silly, but ungrammatical as well. Why not just write in Tagalog?

Aug-21-15  epistle: Against Carlsen, So employs his Erotic Style of chess: he has a hard-on from start to finish.
Aug-29-15  epistle: <Aug-29-15 chessobserver: If Wes survives the kingside attack, he will win>

Huh? I told you already yesterday that Nakamura will win. Any tigas talaga ng ulo nyo!

Aug-30-15  epistle: <jimmy77:...Wesley, go for the full point in those 3 remaining games!>

Very much doable. Two draws and one loss, or one win and two losses. If I don't pray for his opponents this may well happen.

Aug-30-15  epistle: <batongol: hanggang sa huling sandali, narito parin ang mga chess pinoy players na susubaybay sa iyong mga laro.. go for the kill in the last 2 games, although having draws are not bad..>

Losing is also not bad because it shows he hates draws. Ask dunkenchess. LOL.

Sep-11-15  epistle: <jimmy77: <Wesley So begins with white> If I am not mistaken in the Sinquefield Cup, three of the four losses of Wesley were with the white pieces.

Sep-10-15 chessobserver: no jinx please>

OK al together now: WHITE,WHITE, WHITE, WHITE!

Sep-11-15  epistle: It's a bad sign. Hirap na hirap sa isang 2400 with white. Tsk, tsk. His play is really on a decline. Pang-Mila Emperado tournaments na lang ang mga tira.
Sep-16-15  epistle: His hard-fought victories against these two unknown players only goes to show that he is still a force to reckon with in turkeys tournaments.
Sep-17-15  epistle: Wesley fast losing time against the well-prepared LQL.
Sep-18-15  epistle: Wei Yi demolishes Aronian's conqueror. That validates my theory that had he been the wild card entry at Sinquefield Cup 2015 he would have been the champion.
Sep-21-15  epistle: DEATH RATTLES:

<bishopB5: Who knows MVL might misplay this R+4P vs R+N+2P? Fight Wesley!

Sep-21-15 iking: the most our pambato can do is a forced draw .. nothing more, maybe MVL will screw this up ....

Sep-21-15 chessobserver: Draw is still possible.

Sep-21-15
Premium Chessgames Member WinKing: I think Wes needs to just sit tight & keep the pawns together. I hope he can weather the storm. Won't be easy.

Sep-21-15 tambay: Dehado

Sep-21-15 rakkusu: lamang ang pon sa endgame. chillax lang.

Sep-21-15 bishopB5: If 2 pawn were exchanged, leaving Wesley with 2P and a rook vs MVL with R+N, Wesley would have winning chances. If the fight was reduced to R vs R+N, Wesley has 99% drawing chances.

Sep-21-15 MLMsuperDAD: Keeping hopes high for WS.

Sep-21-15 Pastime2005: Draw is good. A win is better. Laban GM Wesley So.

Sep-21-15 dunkenchess: Draw. No advantage in the long run.

Sep-21-15 tambay: Caruana and adams is out.
Fight wesley

Sep-21-15 tambay: Topalov is out
Fight wesley!

Sep-21-15 bishopB5: Fight!

Sep-21-15 iking: i think it is over now ... 0-1. The position is getting harder to defend ..

Sep-21-15 iking: hopefully, MVL will squander this one ... but that is too remote .. sigh.

Sep-21-15 bishopB5: The fight is not over yet!
One misplayed move of black may alter the result.

Fight Wesley!>

Only in the W Sanatorium!

Oct-10-15  epistle: <Sally Simpson: You are a very hard bunch to please.>

He's not saying Hi! anymore...

  Sally Simpson: Hi epistle,

Bunch = group, I was not addressing a single individual, as I an here, but the whole lot them.

I sometimes despair at what I see. A true fan (and here I'd class myself as an admirer) must expect and accept the defeats and still be there.

Oct-11-15  epistle: I fully understand your sentiments, <Sally>. I've known long ago that they are not true fans and that is why I've never said Hi to them.

  Sally Simpson: Hi Epistle,

I'm sure they are real fans and they let their on the spot emotions pour out but it does sometimes read like they blame Wes for any loss.

If a player rated 2700 makes even a small slip v a 2600 player he will get put away, he is mixing with some tough hungry company.

I also have to remember that English may not be the posters first language so sometimes the wrong words may come out and I've misunderstood.

Heavens knows what I'd sound like if I tried posting in Filipino.

I'll be kicking off with:

Kamusta Epistle,

I think that is right, after that I'd read like a Chris Owen post on LSD.

Oct-12-15  epistle: <WinKing: <iking> I will tell you that GM Carlsen is surely keeping an eye on GM So. >

And I will tell you that I had asked my buddy Magnus and he said he's not even giving the slumping So a passing glance. Both his two eyes are focused on Wei Yi.
