Beninson was a well-known Argentinean scientist/administrator.

Jan-31-08  Resignation Trap: All books which feature complete collections of Fischer's games mention a match vs. Beninson, but no games or results are known. :(
Feb-01-08  Benzol: <Resignation Trap> Wade and O'Connell's book give the following "This was a training match, in which Fischer beat Dr Daniel Benninson (sic) 3 1/2 - 1 1/2". Apparently 5 games were played but as you say no gamescores are given.

  GrahamClayton: Daniel Jacobo Beninson graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in 1954, and then moved to the United States in 1955 to conduct research at the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory at Berkeley and Livermore. He obtained a doctorate in applied physics. In 1956 Beninson was appointed General Secretary of the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation, a position he held for two years. Beninson was also a member of the Main Commission of the International Commission on Radiological Protection for 32 years, including 8 years as Chair between 1985 and 1993.

A nuclear technology institute in Argentina is named in his honour:
