 | | HeMateMe: Be careful, having your own page. Fischer went nutts, AJ went viral, you.....? |
Dec-13-11 | | timhortons: haha, its ok, i give up chess after chess give up on me, im contented of kibitzing now adays,mr freeman must realize that most of his costumers here or the older ones spend more time arguing with each other on useless subject than playing chess. what makes cg different from all other site is the kibitz function of the site. |

 | | Domdaniel: Um, Tim, nothing personal, fine games, but it's not *supposed* to be possible to have games in the database under a username, nick, pseudonym, etc. They insist on real names, as a rule. I apologize if yours really is Tim Hortons, but it must be odd sharing a monicker with a dead hockey player and a Canadian food franchise... |

 | | Domdaniel: You might like to check out these other examples of CG members in action under their own names: Game Collection: Chessgames.com members in action |
Dec-13-11 | | timhortons: please take the handle as it is,i am not really in a way endorsing anything, its just an online name. as a canadian i guess i could pass using the name as online name. |

 | | HeMateMe: I sort of follow hockey, and I've never heard of a Tim Hortons. Maybe you could be "Chesstzky Gretzky" instead? |
Dec-13-11 | | wordfunph: congrats Tim, a draw with Lenderman wowww! |

 | | Domdaniel: < I've never heard of a Tim Hortons. > The same might be true down in CG central in Florida. I only know the name 'cos I'm such a Canuckophile. Though it's *huge* in Canada, and has been expanding into the US, Britain, and Ireland. There's even a Tim Hortons in my local Zoo, in Dublin. |
Dec-13-11 | | timhortons: thanks wordfun,i paid my account at icc because of this, chance to play against the master. naka carlsen rivalry in blitz at icc then is cool, watching moro play too is really awesome. morozevich is a very awesome blitz player, id seem him making more crazy antics than naka, but he dont play as much as naka is doin at icc.i didnt regreat then paying account at icc.i really enjoyed the site. |
Dec-13-11 | | timhortons: <There's even a Tim Hortons in my local Zoo, in Dublin.> lol, really? but mind you, the owner of the franchise is an american company now if im not wrong, so lets forget its canadian. |
Dec-13-11 | | brankat: <..the owner of the franchise is an american company now if im not wrong...> I remember some 25 years ago a "school of thought" (?) evolved in Eastern Canada, mostly in Ontario, which held that Canada should sell itself, literally so, to the USA. Who knows, it's hard to predict the future :-) |
Dec-13-11 | | Thanh Phan: Naming conventions aside, nice Lenderman game and congrats on your own page |
Dec-13-11 | | timhortons: thanks thanh phanh, btw thanh phanh, i got a vietnamese freind from work, you see here in montreal, lots of doctors who are canadian but of vietnamese descent, mostly people call them chinese but no,they are of vietnam descent. vietnamese immigrants here could assimilate better in french culture,i know once upon the time that french is the second langguage in vietnam. |
Dec-13-11 | | Thanh Phan: Know of a couple families who left Vietnam for Canada timhortons, yet only have contact with one of the Le families Before we moved, the English language was more common then the French language |
Dec-13-11 | | Shams: <HMM><I sort of follow hockey, and I've never heard of a Tim Hortons.> Tim Horton was a tremendously popular player, I think for the Leafs. He died accidentally only a few years after retirement, and what at the time was only a two- or three-store operation took off. Personally, when I taste his coffee I want to make like von Bardeleben and be anywhere other than where I am at that moment, but maybe that's me. |

 | | Penguincw: Not a lot of users get their very own game page. |
Dec-13-11 | | Golden Executive: <Domdaniel: Um, Tim, nothing personal, fine games, but it's not *supposed* to be possible to have games in the database under a username, nick, pseudonym, etc. They insist on real names, as a rule.> CG.com Masters vs. Machines Invitational (2011) |
Dec-14-11 | | timhortons: <Not a lot of users get their very own game page.> if you got any game against the master, hehe, life master or international master, just upload it in the database, you will never know if cg will give time to check and consider it. i upload this game after i played it last 2007-2008, and its almost 2012 now, i never expected it will be given consideration but i just tried. 2007 is the time i really pour time studying chess, argh! studying!buying books, chess clock and software. ICC got a function where you can daily solve and play a puzzle against its bot,it kinda sharpen you if you use it everyday, id seen that even grandmasters use it.i got a few games in blitz at icc where the admin take it as a puzzle in puzzle bot, one of the game is even against an icc helper. |

 | | HeMateMe: Where is ChessGames, Gainsville, Jacksonville?
Lynerd Skynerd is from Gainsville. Do they have a museum for them? Play Free Bird! |
Dec-14-11 | | mworld: I don't see Tim Hortons much here in the US till I go mid-west...of course by mid-west what I really mean to say is just west of the east coast (i know i know, geography in this region is a bit low on the priorities). So I was saying, Ohio has many Tim Hortons'. |
Dec-16-11 | | GreenLantern: Congratulations Francis ;-) |
Dec-16-11 | | timhortons: <lantern>
