  John Saunders: The name given here needs to be corrected. He was James Frederick Adams (known as Jim Adams), born 4 September 1921, died 27 July 2013. The ICCF and Gaige's Chess Personalia both have 'John' but they are wrong. I have seen 21st century photos of Jim Adams and they tally with my memory of meeting him in 1995, and also with a photo I have seen of him from 1958.
