Oct-24-21  Alan McGowan: The Deutsche Schachzeitung 1937, p262, reporting on the Teplitz-Schoenau event, shows Bauer-Troppau as one of the participants.

There are many references to Rudolf Bauer-Troppau:-

1925 Ranneforths Schach-Kalender

1932 DSz, p266 - entrant for the III DSz International CC Tournament

1934 He is recorded as a visitor to the world championship match in the book Das Gästebuch der Schachweltmeisterschaft 1934 in Deutschland:- 'Bauer, Rudolf, Troppau, S. 51.'

1934 DSz, p353- a photograph of Rudolf Bauer and a reference to /Prof. Bauer-Troppau'.

It looks like his given name should be Rudolf.
