  GrahamClayton: Blieden had a long chess playing career, making his first appearance in the South African championship in 1899.
Oct-07-13  Karpova: A bit more details on the South Africa Championship of 1926: Blieden won ahead of Broer and Meihuizen, etc. It may have taken place in Johannesburg.
