[what is this?]
Jørgen Thomle Saurén was born 3 February 1900 in Oslo (then Kristiania). He was surprise winner of the Norwegian championship in 1935, and played on board 7 (+4 =2 -8) in the 1936 Munich olympiad. Every day through 50 years (~ 1921-1971) he played blitz chess in his club Oslo Schakselskap. There he welcomed new members, and also told them that it won't be for free! He was commonly referred to as "The Boss".
