"AWARDED TELEGRAM CUP FOR CHESS Harry Romhach, chess champion of Montreal in 1923, who tied for fourth and fifth places in the Canadian Chess Championship Tournament at Hamilton recently, where he met 16 of Canada's best players, was awarded the Toronto Telegram Cup for brilliancy. Harry Rombach, who was born in Russia (Ukraine), came to Montreal in June, 1906, at the age of 5. His father, N. Rombach, recently won a simultaneous game from Ledaine, the present Montreal champion, at the Westmount Chess Club. Harry Rombach is an honorary' member of the Westmount Chess Club."
