May-29-22  Nosnibor: I had an interesting game against Paul in a local league match nearly 48 years ago. <White: P.R.Kemp > <Black: J.K.Robinson> <Event: Leicester 1 v Wigston 1, Board One.> <Date: 29/11/1974> <Pirc Defence B06 > 1.e4 g6 2.d4 Bg7 3.Nf3 d6 4.Bc4 c6 5.Bb3 Nf6 6.Nbd2 0-0 7.0-0 Qc7 8.Qe2 e5 9.dxe5 dxe5 10.Rd1 Nbd7 11.c3 Nc5 12.Bc2 b6 13.Nc4 Ba6 14.b4 Ne6 15.Bd3 Nfd7 16.Ncxe5 Bxd3 17.Nxd3 Bxc3 18.Bb2 Bxb2 19.Qxb2 Rfd8 20.Rac1 Nf4 21.g3 Ne6 22.Nde5 Nxe5 23.Nxe5 Rxd1+ 24.Rxd1 Rd8 25.Rxd8+ Nxd8 26.Ng4 h5 27 Nf6+ Kf8 28.Qd2 Ne6 29.Qc3 Ke7 30.Ng8+ Kd7 draw agreed.

OhioChessFan: If you have problems with the PGN, the 15th move for Black is incorrect as only one Knight can get to d7.
May-30-22  Nosnibor: <OhioChessFan> Thanks for pointing that out. My score in the original record has now been amended. Paul Kemp whom I met up recently at a tournament in Nottingham was and still is a very nice guy.

OhioChessFan: FWIW, I despise the Pirc, but you handled it well. Was it your intent all along to play d6?
Jun-05-22  Nosnibor: Yes it was in order to facilitate the move e5 to challenge the centre.

OhioChessFan: Okay, g6/Bg7 can go a lot of directions. I thought most the time the Pirc started with 1...d6. Obviously a lot of move transpositions get to the same point. 3...c5 heading for a Dragon is also an option.
